Biography
Casey Nguyen is a software engineer in the enrollment division at Carnegie.
Prior to his role at Carnegie, Casey was a full-stack engineer at Hawaii Dental Service (Delta Dental), where he built and upgraded systems as part of the Bit squad. He built web services for both internal and customer-facing applications and managed a database for a company that serves over a million members a day.
Before his role at Hawaii Dental Service, Casey completed an internship as a software engineer for Ellebit, a web service that expedited the private dining reservation process. As a member of the project team, he worked with the sponsors for requirements-gathering and implemented the team's design.
Casey had completed an additional internship with Lexion (now part of DocuSign), where he helped to improve the test case library for a legal document annotation service powered by an in-house artificial intelligence model.
Casey received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Seattle University. He also received minors in Data Science and Mathematics.

Web Portals: Designing and Building for Universities
Created (and continue to create) dynamic search landing pages for universities to advertise institutional information to student prospects.
Design and build portals in accordance with university branding standards to create a user experience for prospective undergraduate, graduate, and transfer students. Leverage Slate CRM and directly work with each client to ensure that the delivered portal is as desired.

HDS Byte: APIs and Encryption
Developed APIs for an in-house web application that powers services for the entire company.
Created and debugged various web services for the application that helps with day-to-day processing of insurance claims.
Procured a scheduled process that leverages company's SQL database to create a background job that encrypts member information using PGP and securely sends it to parent company DDPA for over 1,000,000 customers.
Ellebit: Private Dining Made Easy
Designed, created, and presented a full-stack web service for reserving private dining.
Created an all-in-one booking platform to easily manage reservations for private dining and catering in real time. Incorporated user authentication and email services in AWS-hosted instance.
Automated the booking process for private dining booking of small and large party groups, cutting the manual processes associated with servicing clients. Maximized the efficiency of the booking process so that restaurants can focus on the guest experience.
